Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I fail the IMAT?

Meditaliano boasts a 95% acceptance rate. However, if you don't pass, we don't abandon you. While the IMAT score is only valid for that year, our mentors will analyze your performance data and build a comprehensive gap-year strategy to ensure absolute victory the following year.

Are there scholarships or financial aid available?

Yes. In addition to dynamic pricing for the Premium Plan based on your country's purchasing power, we offer specific reductions on Pro and Ultra plans for students from developing nations, single-parent households, or those with proven academic excellence. Contact us for an evaluation.

Do I need to speak Italian to enroll?

No. The IMAT and the 6-year medical programs are taught entirely in English. You do not need any Italian language certificate to apply or be accepted. However, you will learn basic Italian during your first few years to communicate with patients during clinical rotations later on.

Can I upgrade my plan later?

Absolutely. You can start with Premium, then add a live group course or move into PLUS, PRO, or ULTRA private mentoring. Current upgrade credits and commitment benefits are shown on the live payment page when you configure the plan.

Original FAQ · Preserved in full

🚀 2027/28 Multi-Exam Strategy:
IMAT + CEnT-S + Private Admissions

💡 Why prepare across multiple exam families?
The 2027/28 pathway should not depend on one exam day. IMAT remains the core route to public English-taught medicine, while CEnT-S can support applications to English-taught scientific programmes such as Bologna Pharmacy, and private-school exams create both realistic backups and valuable live-exam rehearsal.

The Results Prove It

Official formats, dates and accepted score routes can change. We therefore train transferable Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and reasoning skills, then switch into institution-specific mocks as soon as each official bando is released.

❌ Why other candidates fail:
A single-exam strategy creates unnecessary risk. EU candidates are strongly encouraged to consider CEnT-S as a parallel route for programmes such as Bologna Pharmacy; both EU and Non-EU candidates should consider private medical exams as IMAT practice and a serious backup.

The "Total Victory" Protocol

We provide the most comprehensive database ever assembled for Italian medical admissions, completely updated for the modern MUR era.

  • Historic TOLC-MED, IMAT and BMAT materials for transferable science practice.
  • Expertly translated into English with detailed solutions.
  • 6,000+ shuffled adaptive practice questions.
  • Institution-specific mock tracks for CEnT-S and private medical admissions.

Strategy for Non-EU Students

📉 The Biennial Fluctuation Trend

Scores often oscillate for schools like Bari, Messina, and Vanvitelli. If the cutoff is high one year, fewer apply the next, dropping the score. Always analyze the 3-year average.

🔥 Consistently Hyper-Competitive

Milan, Pavia, Bologna, Rome Sapienza. These consistently require top-tier scores (>70). Only select these if you reliably score 75+ in your supervised mock exams.

💎 Hidden Gems

Southern universities (Messina, Catania, Campania, Bari) and smaller cities (Ancona, Siena) generally present lower barriers to entry while maintaining rigorous academic standards.

🎯 The Crucial Choice

Since Non-EU candidates can only choose ONE university, avoid "gambling" on top-tier schools if your scores are borderline. A degree from Messina holds the exact same validity as one from Milan.

Who should take it?

  • EU candidates: strongly recommended as a parallel option when applying to programmes such as Bologna Pharmacy.
  • Non-EU candidates: useful only where the chosen call accepts their category and test route.
  • Candidates wanting a science-degree backup without abandoning IMAT preparation.
  • Students needing a real, proctored performance benchmark before autumn.

Why it strengthens IMAT prep

  • Creates an earlier deadline and prevents last-minute study drift.
  • Tests transferable quantitative and scientific reasoning.
  • Exposes pacing problems under authentic testing pressure.
  • Produces a concrete backup route while preserving the public-medicine goal.

2027/28 Backup + Rehearsal Strategy

Italian Private Medicine

Dr Pando comparing private medical-school campuses across Italy

Partnership Network

Meditaliano has partnership agreements with all private medical schools in its covered Italian network except Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. A partnership supports information and preparation; it does not provide preferential admission or guarantee a place.

Why EU candidates should apply

  • • Add multiple admission opportunities before IMAT.
  • • Experience live test pressure and refine pacing.
  • • Compare a confirmed private offer with public options.
  • • Protect against an unusually competitive IMAT ranking.

Why Non-EU candidates should apply

  • • Reduce the risk of a one-university public strategy.
  • • Build experience with remote and institution-led exams.
  • • Keep a credible backup while preparing for IMAT.
  • • Start document work early for visa readiness.

New & Expanded 2026 Routes

New course names are not interchangeable. Compare degree class, curriculum, quota and professional outcome before selecting a Universitaly preference.

Admissions planning

New public course · LM-41

Firenze Medicine

Florence entered the English-taught public medicine map with 50 EU seats in the 2026 reference table and no Non-EU-abroad quota.

Decision: an additional central-Italy preference for eligible EU candidates; Non-EU-abroad applicants must wait for an official eligible quota.
Medical technology pathway

Medicine + technology · separate route

Padova MedTech

The 2026 reference quota is 70 EU and 15 Non-EU-abroad seats, with technology-oriented study integrated into medical training.

Decision: compare engineering content, campus, progression and career fit with standard Medicine & Surgery.
Napoli Federico II

Veterinary medicine · LM-42

Napoli Federico II

English Veterinary Medicine is listed with 18 EU and 2 Non-EU-abroad seats. It leads to a different regulated profession.

Decision: verify the LM-42 call, animal-clinical training, quota category and whether veterinary practice is your real goal.
Veterinary and dentistry options

Additional IMAT-family options

Veterinary & Dentistry

Bologna Veterinary: 45 EU / 5 Non-EU. Sapienza Dentistry: 19 / 6. Siena Dentistry: 30 / 5.

Decision: every course has its own ranking, training pathway and licence outcome; never treat it as a placeholder for Medicine.
Registration rule: course title, campus, degree class, EU/Non-EU status and Universitaly selection must all match the official call.

What “match” means: overlap in tested concept, structure, equation or distractor pattern—not advance access to confidential exam content. The point of the archive is syllabus coverage and repeated exposure to ministerial question families.

Beyond Medicine: Every Major English Route

Politaliano support is not limited to CEnT-S. It covers the main English admissions tests for Engineering, Science, Architecture, Business and related degrees.

CEnT-S · 55 questions / 110 min

Unified CISIA science route used across many English-taught STEM programmes. Training covers irreversible section timing, Mathematics, reasoning, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Targets: PoliMi, Bologna Pharmacy, Padova, Sapienza, Pavia, Trento, Trieste, Genoa, Parma, Camerino and other participating calls.

TIL-I · 42 questions / 90 min

Politecnico di Torino’s engineering test, including six Basic Technical Knowledge questions on mechanics, gears, projections and circuits.

Targets: PoliTo engineering routes; recent references use a 30/100 floor and 60/100 guarantee threshold—verify the current call.

ARCHED / TIL-A

Architecture admissions require visual-spatial reasoning, history, drawing/representation concepts and timed logic. English-language obligations may be assessed separately.

Targets: PoliMi and PoliTo architecture pathways, subject to the programme call.

SAT / ACT / Institutional Tests

Digital SAT, ACT, Bocconi Test and LUISS Test can open business, economics, social-science and selected technical routes.

Targets: Bocconi, LUISS and selected PoliMi, PoliTo, Bologna and other programme-specific calls.

Representative English-degree destinations

Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Robotics, Aerospace, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Genomics, Data Science, Economics, Digital Management, Architecture, Design, Food Science and related STEM degrees at 28+ universities represented in the Politaliano directory.

EU recommendation: strongly consider a suitable CEnT-S route—especially Bologna Pharmacy or another genuine preference—as a parallel application. Non-EU applicants should check quota, visa and test-delivery eligibility before booking.

One shared core, nine exam adaptations

Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics are consolidated once. Each school then receives its own timing, logic, reading, remote-proctoring, application and offer-decision layer. Partnership status is stated on Page 29 without repeating it here.

Why sit the tests?

They create an earlier admissions opportunity, expose real pacing weaknesses and improve logic/science execution before IMAT.

Before paying a deposit

Compare six-year tuition, refund terms, clinical network, city, visa timing and whether the offer can remain open through IMAT.
